Technics: Revered Turntables in the DJ Community
Technics, founded in 1965 by Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. (now Panasonic Corporation), has a rich history in audio technology. Renowned for their innovative products like direct-drive turntables, they revolutionised DJ culture in the '70s with the SL-1200s which are still the most popular DJ turntables today. Over the years, Technics has produced other high-end audio equipment, including amplifiers, speakers, and headphones. Technics temporarily ceased production of its famed turntable in 2010 but relaunched in 2016 with the SL-1200 G model. The SL-1200 series remains the gold standard for DJs, clubs, and vinyl enthusiasts to this day.
