Mackie is an audio equipment manufacturer that produces mixers, speakers, and studio monitors. Evolving from the brand TAPCO (1970), Greg Mackie founded Mackie in 1989. After a slow start, Mackie gained recognition by introducing the CR-1604 mixer in 1991, revolutionising compact audio mixing with robust construction quality not commonly found on more affordable mixers. Mackie's innovations continued with the SRM series powered speakers, setting new industry standards. Over the years, its product line expanded to include digital mixers, line array portable PA systems, and recording and podcasting equipment, solidifying their presence in professional audio.
