Electro-Voice: Pioneering Audio Innovation Since 1927
Electro-Voice (EV) is an American audio equipment manufacturer known for producing microphones, loudspeakers, amplifiers, and sound reinforcement systems. Established in 1927, the company has a rich history of innovation in the field of electroacoustics. EV introduced its first dynamic cardioid microphone, the "Cardiline," in 1939, and went on to create the iconic RE-20 dynamic microphone in 1968. The company also established itself early on as a leading producer of public address (PA) systems, a trend that continues to this day. Electro-Voice has continued to develop high-quality audio products for both professional and consumer markets since its inception in the early 20th century.
