What is Timecode Vinyl and why would you want to use it?
DVS Timecode is vinyl that has been recorded with a tone (audio signal) that is able to be read by a computer and tracked over time.
When you stop a timecode vinyl for example, or scratch with a timecode vinyl, your computer will recognise this, and move the audio forwards and backwards or stop it all together, just like you are playing the audio directly from the vinyl you are controlling.
DVS Vinyl became a great bridge for vinyl users who did not like the change from Vinyl to CD and digital DJing formats. It allows people with traditional DJ skills to continue using their skills with wax, with a new feature list of skills added to their repertoire thanks to the DJ software they are mixing with. It also means all you need carry is a laptop, instead of heavy bags of records to every gig!
